Vicino has been open for less than two years, but has already made Indianapolis Monthly's annual "Best Restaurants in the City" list twice.

Indy Monthly: "THIS Mass Ave Italian spot from the owners of nearby The Oakmont doesn’t worry too much about tradition, with a menu of over-the-top pastas laden with sauces, meats, cheeses, and veggies. The wood-fired pizzas are similarly loaded, seemingly with the philosophy that if one cheese is good, three are better. (They’re not wrong.)

Substantial entrees such as a 14-ounce New York strip steak round out the menu, and panini and sandwiches are available at lunch. The loose, almost clubby vibe is cemented with a lengthy and ambitious cocktail list; a selection of wines from Italy, France, and California; and a newly launched happy hour menu that includes a sweet smash burger and fries as well as cut-rate wine by the glass."
