Chef Connor Gray, Executive Chef of Up Cellar, fell in love with cooking at a young age, when he helped prepare meals alongside his grandmother, particularly their annual Thanksgiving dinners. He began his professional career at Cracker Barrel, where he learned the ropes and developed his skills in a high-paced environment. Over the years, he honed his craft through various positions in kitchens across Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana. Chef Gray joined Taxman Hospitality Group in 2021, where he quickly became an integral part of the culinary team assuming the role of Head Chef at Taxman Bargersville in 2023. In 2025, Connor was promoted to Executive Chef of Up Cellar, Cellar’s Market, and Pizza + Libations overseeing all three culinary operations. After over four years at the helm of the kitchen, he brings a unique blend of creativity, technique, and a deep respect for tradition to Up Cellar.
