Born on the West Side of Indianapolis, Nick Detrich spent the last 15 years opening bars and restaurants in New Orleans and London before opening Magdalena in late 2024. He is the Co founder of Jewel of the South in New Orleans (James Bear Award for best Cocktail Program, and #34 on World's 50 Best Bars), Manolito (Esquire's Best Bars), and Cane & Table of Cure CO (James Beard for best Cocktail Program 2018).
