Bio: Cretia Cakes specializes in Southern baked goods. LaCretia is a northern city girl grounded by her Southern roots. LaCretia's love for southern cuisines and desserts began early on, inspired by her southern parents and their love of Soul Food and its traditions. Growing up, she would participate in her school's bake sales where she was dubbed Ms. Betty Crocker by her friends. The opportunity presented itself to open a retail bakery in 2006 which she named Cretia Cakes. LaCretia is very proud of her accomplishments thus far: creating baked goods and birthday cakes for Hoosier Park and Casino, participating in the 2012 Super Bowl XLVI, she is a certified minority woman owned business, was an Ivy Tech Adjunct Pastry Instructor, and she participated in Home Shopping Networks American Dreams Academy. She is also involved in philanthropic work with Death by Chocolate, The Children’s Museum, and The Indianapolis Zoo.
