Samanth Satterfield, though Indianapolis native, started her fifteen year culinary career initially in Savanna, Georgia. Food, cooking, and culture were always a passion growing up. Moving to Georgia, at the start of her culinary journey, she began to realize how food, culture and community were tied together. During her time in Savannah, she became involved with studying native foods and practical sourcing, including foraging and fishing. Her primary background in culinary became Asian and Southern cuisine, and now, over the years, has shifted to an Italian focus.

Convivio has become the most ideal environment to focus on not only strong, traditional, Italian culinary practices, but also spark creative, and unique culinary approaches to traditional methods. To her, Convivio has become a new home to where culinary, culture and community tie together seamlessly.
