Chef Andreina Paredes is the heart behind Azúcar Morena, the beloved Venezuelan kitchen inside The Garage Food Hall in downtown Indianapolis. Born and raised in Venezuela, Andreina brings her culture to life through every dish, blending authentic family recipes with a modern twist.

After moving to Indiana in 2015, she turned her passion for cooking into a mission — to share the warmth, flavor, and soul of Venezuelan cuisine with her new community. Working alongside her children, she crafts favorites like arepas, cachapas, and tequeños that capture the spirit of home and tradition.

For Andreina, food is more than flavor — it’s love, family, and a celebration of heritage served one plate at a time.
